If you’re still confused - a browser is a program on your computer which specialises in retrieving, presenting, and traversing information from the World Wide Web for your perusal.
The major web browsers are Windows Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, Google Chrome, and Opera.
